The policy establishes the Village’s privacy framework, including procedures for personal information management, privacy breaches, employee responsibilities, and privacy complaint processes. Approval of Section for Regular Council Meeting Agendas Council approved the addition of a “Council Roundtable” section within Regular Council Meeting agendas to allow for discussion on emerging opportunities, community concerns and future initiatives without requiring immediate formal action. The change will take effect following the June Council meeting, pending approval of the required Procedural Bylaw amendment. Traffic Calming Next Steps Council discussed the Traffic Calming & Speed Survey Results Report and based on community feedback received and ongoing safety concerns around parks and playgrounds, agreed that existing speed bumps will remain in those areas to help support pedestrian and child safety, particularly in the Glenmeyer Park area. Council also directed Administration to proceed with reducing the speed limit on 50 Street to 30 km/h to improve safety, and requested that the Community Advisory Committee (CAC) provide two digital speed readers for installation along 50 Street — one at the north end and one at the south end of the community. Council thanks everyone who took the time to complete the survey and share feedback, and encourages residents to continue reporting speeding and unsafe driving concerns directly to the RCMP. The full report is available on the Village website HERE. Berwyn Arena Discussion Council engaged in discussions regarding future opportunities for the use of the Berwyn Arena and directed Administration to arrange a structural inspection of the building and to explore potential costs associated with converting the arena space into a multi-use facility.
