The Village of Berwyn is now accepting applications for a Summer Maintenance Labourer position funded through the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) Program.
Position summary
Start Date: Approximately the first week of May 2026
Duration: 16 weeks
Hourly Wage: $19.00/hour
Duties
General labour and grounds maintenance including mowing, landscaping, identifying and eliminating noxious weeds, planting, watering flowers, painting, and assisting with maintenance and upgrades to parks, playgrounds, fields, and other municipal infrastructure. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements • Valid driver’s license (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
• Physically fit and able to perform manual labour
• Able to stand/walk for extended periods
• Ability to operate landscaping equipment (training may be provided)
Eligibility (required)
This position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs program. Applicants must:
• Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
• Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
• Be legally entitled to work in Canada
