Join us in congratulating 𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐲, Village of Berwyn resident, who is one of six recipients of the 2024 Grimshaw Regional Healthcare Attraction and Retention Committee Scholarship. Madison will receive $2000 to go toward her schooling as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
The Village of Berwyn is part of a partnership with neighbouring municipalities and the GRHARC to make this important scholarship possible.

I chose to go to school to become a Licensed Practical Nurse because I’ve always loved being able to help people. My grandma was also a nurse, and I loved hearing about her experiences.
I think being able to stay close to home and provide a service that’s so needed right now in our area is such a great opportunity. Being able to be a familiar face in times when people aren’t feeling their best can maybe provide that extra comfort in an uncomfortable situation.
I think this scholarship is important because it provides extra help during a busy time in students' lives that can help with the financial burden we often face having to travel for school living in such a rural community.
