New Financial Assistant for the Village of Berwyn

Please join us in welcoming Carol Haney as the new Financial Assistant for the Village of Berwyn.

Carol brings experience in customer service and a financial background, including 12 years in financial institutions and previous work in municipal government. Her experience in finance and public service will be an asset to our administrative team.

Carol and her family are no strangers to Berwyn, having recently moved back to the area. They have long-standing ties to the community through her parents, who have lived here for more than 14 years, and through her grandparents, who were residents of the Berwyn Lodge and active in the local church. Over the years, her family has taken part in many local activities like skating at the arena, walking the trails, spending time downtown, and enjoying events such as outdoor movies, parades, and farmers' markets. They continue to stay involved in the community, including their daughter’s participation as a green belt in the Berwyn Tigers Taekwondo club.

When asked what she looks forward to in the role, Carol shared that she appreciates Berwyn’s tight-knit community and is excited for the opportunity to learn more and continue expanding her skill set. She looks forward to working together toward the shared goal of helping the Village thrive and enjoys smaller work environments where strong, family-like relationships can be built.

Carol and her husband live on an acreage just outside of Berwyn and have seven children, six grandchildren and many family pets. They enjoy spending time outside camping, quadding, snowmobiling, fishing, and boating.
