We are pleased to share that Councillor Jane Weber was named Volunteer of the Month for October. Volunteer of the Month is a regional initiative that includes the MD of Peace, County of Northern Lights and the Town of Grimshaw, facilitated by Grimshaw Community Services, geared to recognize volunteers and the vital impact they have in communities. We are thrilled that Jane was chosen for this meaningful recognition and extend our gratitude and recognition to her for the genuine kindness and care she exudes and the ways she helps others. Volunteers are the heart and soul of our communities, and their dedication makes a world of difference. This October, we are thrilled to recognize Jane Weber as our Volunteer of the Month!

Jane has been a tireless volunteer for over 45 years, starting her journey back in high school at the library in Cambridge, Ontario. From there, her passion for helping others led her to volunteer in mental health and home care.

But Jane’s kindness didn’t stop there—she’s been using her incredible crochet skills to create handmade gifts of comfort for those in need. From crocheting blankets for premature babies to designing patterns for chemo caps, quilts, and special socks for people with foot problems, Jane has donated her creations to hospitals for many years.

In addition to her volunteering, Jane is also a Council member for the Village of Berwyn, the community she proudly calls home.

Congratulations and thank you, Jane, for your generosity, and continued dedication to making the world a better place!
