Election to be held in the Village of Berwyn

For immediate release

September 23, 2025 - The Village of Berwyn has received six nominations for five Councillor positions. As a result, an election will be required to determine the new Council for the 2025–2029 term under Alberta’s Local Authorities Election Act.

The following individuals have put their names forward:

• Brian Carreau

• Nicole Johnson

• Patrick O’Brien

• Tristan Vanderklok

• Dan Weber

• Jane Weber

“It’s great to see residents step forward to serve our community,” says CAO Jatin Saini. “We hope to see a strong voter turnout and want to thank those Councillors who are not running again for the time and commitment they’ve given to the Village of Berwyn.”

Advance voting will be held at the Village Office from October 14 to 17, 2025, between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., and again from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Election Day voting is scheduled for Monday, October 20, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and again from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Village Office.

The Mayor will be selected by Council at the Organizational Meeting on October 27, 2025, where the Village of Berwyn Council will be officially sworn in.
